Peterson Grove is a ring of redwood trees located in Sanborn Park.
To get there, first drive to Sanborn Park, located three miles southwest of Saratoga. From the Sunnyvale / Cupertino area, take DeAnza down to Saratoga where it meets up with Route 9.
Turn right on Route 9 to head through Saratoga proper, then continue along the windy roads. Within a couple miles you'll see a campsite-style retreat on your right (Saratoga Springs). Immediately afterwards will be a left-turn lane to a road that feels a bit more like a driveway (there will be an "Icy" sign shortly down it, as well as a "Not a through street" sign). This is Sanborn road, so turn left on to it.
After about 1.5 miles going uphill you'll come to a one-lane section of road. There will be two exits just afterwards on your right - take the second, which will say "Park Entrance" and "Sanborn Skyline County Park".
From the park entrance take the first right and proceed to the large parking lot. At the far end of the parking lot you'll see a ramped path leading into the grove. Follow it up onto the platform. Seating will be on the far side.
